Literature Text

you are to me
prodigal child
a beacon of hope
a basket of sorrows
never think you fleet in my eye
when the wolves chase away the sparrows
and the tides fill the cradled pools
I do wash away from the sand
your footprint tears of lonesome guilt
wipe them away
you are to me
my own being expressed
in ways I did not foresee
though ripped the seams
of strife, i mend
and carry on from the raging sea

.....jellyfish tentacles slide tarsier's eyes open wide on the branch
.....clinging like a child, hyena, laughing wild, bacteria conquers
.....mild, mild the sun sets now, roam around stop wait, see, you are
.....a part of me.

I don't think that any poet I know can express guilt quite the same, nor as beautifully as you. Your poetry, more often than not, simply sweeps the senses of a reader into your words. You never let go until the end and then you leave 'me' lying on the sandy shore, waves of words washing against my thought. I wish sometimes to tiptoe away as if this is a sacred place, leave the "cradled pools" the mending of strife, the sorrows and "the raging sea." The things you say are powerful, the words reinforce that power and I must listen carefully.....joy
